I chose Caroline Cavitt's short Twitter story to write about because it is not only relatable, it is quite comical. The story begins with the author asking the audience if they would like to hear a story about her thirteenth birthday. She then goes on to tell us about her going out to dinner with some family and friends. The plot thickens when she tells the audience the waiter guessed her age as nine and it was supposed to be her first outing as an actual teenager. How embarrassing! The story continues by her being a bit more sarcastic and says that if the waiter were correct that she would be a fourteen year old in our freshman English class. Although I do not look that much younger than my actual age, I identify with his story so much. Just the mere fact of going out with friends and family and something embarrassing happening is just hysterically accurate for my life. Caroline did a great job at appealing to various types of audiences as I think mutliple groups of people would find this short Twitter story entertaining.
