Brands?

Trying to get a brand's attention? Not as easy as Tumblr and Twitter memes make it seem. The brands that I followed and tried to interact were my most frequent: Old Navy, Adidas, Vans, Microsoft, Apple, and Vineyard Vines. I tried to mainly interact with Vans and Adidas just because their Twitters are the most active of the brands that I followed. I started off by saying how much I liked the brand but that did not receive a response at all. Then I tried to make jokes or puns and I would somehow relate the joke or pun back to the brand and I would at them, but I did not receive a response to that either. The facts are: I did not receive a response from these two brands whatsoever and I was a bit discouraged. I tried Apple and Microsoft hoping for a change in luck, but was unsuccessful. I have to say that I tweeted these two brands at least ten times each because they are SO active on their social media accounts. When I did not get anything in return, I thought about tweeting "hater" like things just to elicit responses, but I could not bring myself to do that. Just becuase I was not able to get a response out of these specific brands now, does not mean that I will stop trying. If anything, this exercise has encouraged me to try adn get more involved in feedback with the more popular brands.
